    Teacher Recognition

The FCMA Workforce Development Committee is proud to move forward with our Teacher Recognition Program for 2018! It is with great excitement we continue to take advantage of our opportunity to help educate our educators to the many promising careers manufacturers have to offer. In our attempts to change that stigma of a “dirty job” into the “right job” for the higher percentage of young adults that are entering our workforce, we extend our support to one of the highest influencers…TEACHERS.

We are looking for your nominations to recognize a teacher, guidance counselor, academy career expert or any professional in the school system that can help us spread the word. It could be one that has a proven track record of success or perhaps one that is learning the importance of a skilled trade. Click here for the nomination form. Please send your nominations to amanda@fcmaweb.com.

After careful review of your nominees, the committee will vote on a teacher to be recognized on a quarterly basis at our FCMA General Meetings.

FCMA is committed to strengthening our member companies by offering a myriad of events, educational opportunities and business-to-business connections. Do you have an idea for an event? Let us know by emailing: information@fcmaweb.com

FloridaMakes and NextFlex present: Flexible Hybrid Electronics and what that means for your business:

Flexible Hybrid Electronics (FHE) technology is taking the manufacturing industry by storm. Manufacturers across the world are already using FHE to increase their manufacturing capabilities. Are you familiar with FHE and what it can do for your business? If not, you should be.

In a nutshell, FHE eliminates many of the barriers associated with traditional rigid electronics and allows for new and exciting applications. Some examples may be process sensors resulting in improved shop floor efficiencies or sensors monitoring environmental conditions throughout transit.

With the emergence of technology within manufacturing, the only consistency is change, but change can mean great things for manufacturers if you allow yourself to be exposed to new ideas and concepts to help grow your business.

FloridaMakes has three seminars to introduce you to Flexible Hybrid Electronics and to better understand how small to mid-size manufacturers can incorporate this into their plant. Presenters Phil Centonze, director of client engagement services at FloridaMakes and Andy Helm, strategic business manager for Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute will introduce you to this exciting new technology.

Please plan on attending the one nearest you.

FloridaMakes is a great resource and can help your company address current challenges, create new opportunities for growth and achieve measurable results. To learn how FloridaMakes’ services can unlock growth opportunities and cost savings for your company, contact your FloridaMakes’ Business Advisor Paula DeLuca at paula.deluca@floridamakes.com or at (904)385-2123 (cell).
