With school starting, an election cycle in play and rising challenges for the American people, we look forward to continuing to help you solve problems through networking, experts sharing their knowledge and round tables brainstorming solutions.

Don't miss out on three upcoming FCMA Leadership Academy training program opportunities!  Our new Front Line Supervisor 2 training program, designed for graduates of our Front Line Supervisor 1 class, is scheduled to begin on September 27.  We also have our next offering of the Continuous Improvement program scheduled to begin on September 23, and our Introduction to Manufacturing program for front line/trade skills employees is scheduled to begin on September 14.  We are now taking on-line registrations for all three programs—you can use the following links to register your employees:

Thank you to those who joined us on Monday, July 25 for our members only Social at Miller Ale House  We always love seeing the networking and business relationship building that takes place over smiles and drinks! 
Thank you to this month's committee speaker, Chris Hand. From 2011 to 2015, Hand served as Chief of Staff at the City of Jacksonville He has authored two books and recently authored the 50th Anniversary update to the chronicle of Jacksonville’s historic city-county government consolidation. He currently leads Hand Law which helps address opportunities and challenges with government through strategic counsel and litigation advocacy.

July's EHS speaker was Blake Kreitner, laboratory technician, Water Recovery. He demonstrated a scale model of a wastewater treatment tank with real wastewater how coagulation and flocculation works. Thank you Blake!

Incumbent Worker Training Grants Available Now
Businesses experience skills gaps when workers don't have necessary training. A company's ability to retain workers, grow and prosper can be compromised. Florida's Incumbent Worker Training grants can help. The program provides grants for continuing education and training of current full-time employees at Florida companies. CareerSource Florida is now accepting applications. Be sure to submit your application online at least 90 days prior to your requested training start date. From July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, the maximum amount a company can receive through an Incumbent Worker Training grant is $50,000. The Incumbent Worker Training program has $3 million available for the fiscal year that begins July 1. Apply Now.
